Workout Challenge: Day Two – Cardio

March 6, 2013

After grappling with the bathroom renovation for several hours this morning, I finally gave up and decided that I needed to go to the gym. After all, it is a challenge 🙂 My body was so sore after all the Latin Heat from yesterday that I did not think I could do anything at all. I used those stretch machines at the gym and did a few stretches for several minutes and then jumped on the elliptical.

I realized that I had not been on an elliptical since 2007! Sheesh! Where has the time gone? After being on there for about thirty minutes, I walked over to finish off my cardio on the treadmill.  Halfway through my second mile of a three-mile workout, I realized that I had not taken a picture. So, I pulled out my phone and to the amusement of most of the guys who were working out around me, I took a few shots in various angles quickly, and got back to my routine.

When I got home, I took one look at the pictures and decided that for your sanity, I should not post them. Note to self: ALWAYS take pictures before you work out not after!  So, please forgive me for not including a picture. But, I am happy to say that I made it to the gym for the second day in a row! Yay me!

I did try to tell Aaron this evening that if he felt that paying for a gym membership was just too much for our budget, I would be more than happy to not go 😉 But he was not falling for it. Haha…I kind of like the challenge, so let’s see if I can make it tomorrow. Apparently, a massive snow storm has been forecast for DC area. I don’t believe I have ever lived in a place that give so much deference to the weather man, and considers every warning of bad weather to be the end of the world! I am sure I should be better prepared anyway. But, oh well, if it means it keeps Aaron at home for one day so I get some more time with him, I am all for it!
